Batik Village
Tohpati Village is located east side of Denpasar city, this village welknown for Batik Village. Most of the villager here making batik, there some of the batik studio you can see here, process of making batik you can observe also.The word "batik" is Indonesian-Malay in origin and it means "to dot." Similar processes of dye resistant designs have been traced to Egypt and the Middle East--about 1500 years ago--but the current process for batik originated in Indonesia. There, batik making has evolved to become one of the greatest art forms of Asia. This ancient technique involves using a wajan--similar in shape to a wok--for melting wax, and a canting, a wooden-handled tool with a metal tip for applying wax to create the design. Traditional HouseBatuan Village is located around 15km from Denpasar. Visit Balinese lives in everyday life and see traditional Bali House Structure, this private house living built in origin Balinese concept , known as "kosali kosali concept ".This concept is apply anywhere in Bali. All the placement direction in the building is the same. It is a building to make the offering thing of the festival in the East. There is a kitchen in the south side. In every Hindhu Balinese house, there is a temple for family , located in a northeastern side of the house. This temple is called 'a family temple'. Rice terraceTegalalang Rice Terrace is one of the more popular rice terrace to visit. The rice terrace is designed very beautiful with exquisite hollowing rice field and precisely located on the hill bank. In this place, you will see the Balinese farmer do their rice field in oblique area complete with its system irrigation. You will enjoy the beautiful panorama of valley with rice terrace and coconut trees ornament it. Ubud Market, Ubud Palace and Monkey Forest, the market has two different parts, traditional market located in the west of arts market, the traditional market sell daily food and open earlier. The arts market sell various of handicrafts, arts and textiles. Next to Ubud market is Ubud Palace where is the Royal Family live, in evening the outside yard use by the local group dance performance to held Legong Dance, Barong Dance, Ramayana Ballet and Mahabrata Ballet. .
